BUMI is an Amsterdam-based organic food brand that makes traditional plant-based recipes with a contemporary twist. BUMI - which means ‘earth’ in Indonesian - is an ode to the country where tempeh finds its origin, and to everything beautiful that grows from the soil. For BUMI, this is the most important inspiration and motivation. All products are made with the utmost respect for the earth and all its living creatures.
W.Green and BUMI started collaborating in 2019. We’ve helped the two founders Florian and Daan translating the brand values into a set of brand campaign images. It was important to capture the organic, flavorful and pure quality of the product, that is why we collaborated with Photographer Mitchell van Voorbergen and Chef Hilary Metcalfe.

BUMI’s core values completely resonated with me, which made this project really fun and rewarding to work on. We wanted to visually express the organic, healthy, pure and tasteful quality of the products and also show that plant-based food can be a total feast. We’ve worked with Bumi's three products: the Indian, Mexican and Asian marinaded tempeh, and created a world around those flavors. Next to that, we wanted to highlight the fact that the marinades are made from pure ingredients only so we created a set of fresh-ingredient-hero images.
