Dr. Bronner’s soap making workshop & breakfast event

CHALLENGE
Although Dr. Bronner’s is the number one natural soap brand in the U.S. and their products are being sold all over the world, there wasn’t a lot of brand awareness in the Netherlands.

TACTICS
The approach was just as upfront as their product. We invited all relevant Dutch media and influencers to join us for a boho style breakfast and soap making workshop at Mediametic.
Although the brand has a history that goes back five generations, it still is a family-owned business today. We were very excited that we were joined by the Bronner brothers Mike (President) and David (Cosmic Engagement Officer) to share the inspiring company history and engage with the Dutch media in a very personal and down-to-earth manner.

OUTCOME
Their brand awareness went up, interviews and talks with the founders were requested and facilitated. The brand has since been in high demand by press for Dutch publications.

I was very excited when we received an email from the Dr. Bronner’s team to help them with their very first press event in Amsterdam. I was familiar with Dr. Bronner’s soap and iconic bottle labels from my time spend in Los Angeles and always loved using it. But I didn’t know the beautiful and inspiring story that lies behind the brand until I dived into the long history of this family business. This made me even more thrilled to work with them. We had a very short window to organise this breakfast event. It was challenging, but we found a great location, MediaMatic, that was the perfect backdrop for this event with an amazing kitchen that prepared a delicious vegan breakfast. We had a long table where everyone sat at while the brother’s Michael (president) and David (CEO) Bronner gave a presentation about the brand. Afterwards everyone was able to make their own magic soap at the soap making station. It was a real pleasure working with this team as one!
